Meat Torchwood What if?Jack felt his breath catch as he saw Dale holding Ianto at gun point. He never wanted this to happen, for Ianto to become a hostage. The look on Ianto’s face said it all. He was scared. Jack had to keep himself composed as he tried to talk Dale down. Gwen tried to help by telling Dale he could still walk away from everything, but Dale was too far gone.Meat Torchwood What if? by rileygirl
“You lied to me.”
Dan lined up his gun to Gwen, but before he could take the shot, Ianto broke free from his ropes and grabbed Dale’s arm forcing him to shoot the ceiling. The creature started to break free from its ropes. Jack watched as Dale kneed Ianto in the back and they both went down to the floor.
“No!” Jack yelled as he saw them grapple for the gun.
Jack grabbed his gun from where he had thrown it. He tried to aim it at Dale, but the creature had come loose and had rolled into his way completely blocking his view of Ianto. Ianto fell to the ground as Dale landed a punch to his gut a
Ways to Say 'I love you'Ianto said ‘I love you’ in lingering looks and smiles, and the tender way he brushed back Jack’s hair when it stuck to his sweaty forehead after they had sex. Ianto would mumble it into Jack’s hair as he held him close, waiting for him to start breathing again. He mouthed the words against Jack’s lips or his palm, tracing heart shapes on his chest with an idle finger.Ways to Say 'I love you' by ABitofFlare
He gasped it out with the last air in his lungs while he died in Jack’s arms.
Jack said ‘I love you’ in the gentle kisses he pressed to Ianto’s forehead, the pout on his lips and the sparkle in his eyes when he all but ordered him to stay with him for the night. Jack whispered it almost silently when Ianto slept soundly in his arms, and murmured it a little louder when he had nightmares, hoping to make them go away. He kissed the words into Ianto’s neck and kissed them down his chest, a smile never leaving his face.
He never regretted anything more than not sayin
ReturningI expect you think that if you see someone killed, and then watch them die again and again, knowing that they’ll come back, that death means nothing to them, you’d get used to it, in the end.Returning by Skyflower51
If you think that, you’re wrong. You don’t get used to it. It doesn’t get any easier, to watch it happen. Especially when it happens to a man you care about more than anything else in the world.
Perhaps I’m mistaken. I think maybe the others might have got used to seeing Jack die. He always comes back, doesn’t he? That’s why he’s always the first of us to run into danger, because we all know that if anything happens to him, if he gets shot or stabbed or suffocated, he’ll be fine again within minutes.
But I think it takes me longer to heal.
I remember one time a crazed Terileptil came through the Rift. We managed to stun it and drag it down to the Vault, but it woke up just as Gwen was dragging it into a cell. She made it out. But on
Torchwood-From Out of The Rain-What if?They had come out of nowhere. Out of the rain, just like the legend said. Ianto wasn’t sure how it all happened, one minute him and Jack were walking to the SUV to go talk to the theater owner’s son and the next there were the carnival people. They ambushed them and Ianto remembered the man in the top hat pinning Jack to the SUV and opening the silver flask. Ianto didn’t even think he just knew he had to save Jack. He scrambled up from where he had been pushed down and knocked Jack out of the way, taking his place. The man in the top hat pinned him against the SUV.Torchwood-From Out of The Rain-What if? by rileygirl
“Sacrificing yourself for the other, how poetic,” he whispered putting his finger to the side of Ianto’s mouth.
As Ianto felt his breath leave him, his last thought was of Jack.
Jack looked up from where he had been knocked down just in time to see the carnival people vanish and Ianto collapse to the ground beside the SUV. He was immediately up and by Ianto’s side.
The Fall of SpringIn the 21st century, spring was a time of rebirth. The sun came up from the skies, the wind would rise. The flowers would bloom again and the trees would bud. It was as if all around the world, the biological clock of nature and humans said, "it's time!"The Fall of Spring by vertigoevie
Jack, however, never once understood this concept. The whole "spring feel" was as alien to him as a Dalek or a Slitheen. He could barely remember a day in his long lived life that was a happy, worry-free spring day. First it was waiting in fear of invaders on their Boeshane Peninsula. Then came the terrorizing attack in which he lost Gray. Somewhere down the line, Jack found out that first time he'd died had been in the springtime. And the last time was when he left Earth for good.
Spring. What was that but a name for a period of time? It was truly and surely a misnomer. Fall, on the other hand, it meant everything. Dying. The leaves, the trees, the flowers, the weather. His heart. After all, September 2009 of the 456 was in the
